Boreal Doom (originally Boreal) is a Funeral Doom/Death Metal band, from Rio de Janeiro, founded by Pedrito H. and Luiz M. The band's propose is a mix of influences like Ataraxie, Shape of Despair, Swallow the Sun and My Dying Bride, mainly. About two months after the begining of the project, they released theirs first material, the demo named "Boreal Doom". After this, the band re-recorded the demo plus two songs, including a Katatonia cover, and released in the EP "My Sanity". The band is currently pre-producing their debut album.
